This coveted award is based on the criteria issued on TripAdvisor, which recently exceeded 260 million users. This unrivalled jewel of the Caribbean, with its amazingly unspoilt landscape, pure environment, crystal-clear waters and ever-cool, fine white sand, is world renowned for its scenery and sea beds, classed among the most beautiful on the planet.

More than 260 million users of the travel community have highlighted some of the places that have impressed them most. From thousands of built-up cities, deserted places, natural landscapes and pristine beaches, TripAdvisor chose Havana as the top destination with the highest increase in positive comments and interest from tourists in 2013.
