Two hotels operated by Meliá Hotels International Cuba have been ranked among the best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, according to a selection by Tripadvisor, a leading travel and tourism platform.
The winners are Paradisus Río de Oro and Meliá Buenavista, which received the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2025 award. This recognition is based on the numerous positive reviews left by Tripadvisor users and is granted to only the top 1% of all listings on the platform.
Paradisus Río de Oro is a luxury adults-only eco-resort located on Esmeralda Beach (on Holguín’s northern coast), perfect for weddings, honeymoons, and wellness getaways. It stands out for its exclusive Royal Service area with personalized attention, as well as its offerings for nature lovers. Meanwhile, Meliá Buenavista is situated in a Biosphere Reserve on Cayo Santa María, catering to guests aged 18 and over who seek a vacation in an exclusive setting of privacy and intimacy.
Additionally, seven other properties under Meliá’s management were recognized among the best in the Greater Antilles. In Havana, the Travelers’ Choice badge was awarded to Meliá Habana, Meliá Cohiba, and INNSiDE Habana Catedral; in Varadero, to Sol Caribe Beach; in Cienfuegos, to Meliá San Carlos and La Unión Affiliated by Meliá; and in Villa Clara’s northern keys, Meliá Cayo Santa María stood out.
As is tradition, Tripadvisor has unveiled its annual awards honoring the highest-rated hotels by travelers. With nine properties recognized, Meliá Cuba further solidifies its prestige in the Caribbean market, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in tourism.
