“Destinos Gaviota” Tourism Trade Fair is back and the Meliá Cuba team is joining to reaffirm its involvement in the development of the industry on the island and showcase its main projects and renovations in partnership with the Gaviota Tourism Group.
This meeting for tourism professionals is a great opportunity to receive updates on the latest novelties of the Gaviota group. It will take place from Oct 2nd up to Oct 6th 2019 in two exceptional locations that are none other than Havana and Varadero.
The doors of this fair will open in Havana with an added bonus, because it will happen in the context of the 500th anniversary celebrations of the founding of this Wonder City where the beauty and richness of its architecture, the cosmopolitan character of its culture and the warmth and smiles of its citizens are ever-present.
As participants transition from Havana to Varadero in this perfect blend of business and pleasure they will journey into another widely known mecca of Cuba’s tourism, Varadero, a place that has been qualified as the second best beach in the world.
Without further ado, let’s get a sneak peek at what Meliá will be presenting at the fair:
Varadero, simply a must:
When glancing from one side to the other one could say that it’s an infinite screensaver loaded with white sand beaches, tranquil crystal clear blue-turquoise waters that surround an array of high-class resorts where mind and body renewal is assured.
This tropical version of the Garden of Eden is where various Meliá hotels are placed not only offering Sun, Sand and Sea, history and adventure are also on the menu. In addition to this over the years it has gained reputation as an international conventions centre. Along these lines the Paradisus Varadero hotel is ideal for conventions and incentive travel, it houses 3 meeting halls technically equipped to provide responses to any on demand requests that this type of segment may have such as banquettes, private parties, etc. All of its spaces undergo refurbishment in its different areas in line with the latest international trends.
The Meliá Varadero hotel is also a wonderful example of MICE compatible Meliá facilities in the area. The luxurious Paradisus Princesa del Mar hotel with its elegant hill top reception, terraces and private pools has just renovated it salons.
Regarding future endeavours, it’s fair to underscore the long-lasting partnership between Meliá and the Gaviota Group which spurs new projects that are set to be milestones in the development of tourism in Varadero.
The first one is the Sol Varadero Beach All inclusive 4 star hotel for over +16 which is set to be the perfect combination of joy and intimacy with that distinctive Cuban touch. It will be situated on the first shoreline of the blue water beach incorporating the -HIPPIE CHIC- concept of total fun in a relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless there will also be a touch of refinement and confront along with VIP amenities.
The second novelty to be unveiled next year is the Sol Caribe Beach hotel designed for a high standard family lodging experience with a variety of entertainment options and excellent entertainers of course.
Cayo Santa María, closer to heavens:
If we set our sight on central Cuba, more specifically on the impressive natural environment of the Cayo Santa María key up on its northern coast, we find a barely touched scenery away from civilization full of exuberant nature, plain sand and seamless waves.
Right here rises an enclave of untainted luxury in the form of natural looking bungalows, exactly on the first shoreline of a virgin beach. The Paradisus Los Cayos hotel, a modern eco resort most worthy of its location is ideal for families and couples, having various entertainment options such as Kids Club, diving, life enriching program of activities and more than 20 culinary spaces besides delightful bars. -The Reserve-, a segment of the Paradisus brand is a section within the hotel where luxury is on a completely new level. The adults only section -Royal Service- is the ideal intimate universe to experience implied romance. This resort also incorporates an innovative MICE concept in a conventions destined area of 1000 square metres.
Three out of the five Meliá managed hotels in the area are undergoing renovations such as the Sol Cayo Santa María hotel where 250 rooms will be completely revamped, the Meliá Cayo Santa María hotel will offer more comfort in its buffet restaurant and in its main building while being aesthetically more pleasing. Lastly, the Meliá Buenavista hotel meant for over +18 encompasses the tranquillity and privacy of a Caribbean paradise. It now incorporates 3 new villas where elegance is the upheld standard coated with the philosophy of high level service and VIP pleasantness.
Beauty also rises in the east:
Moving onto the authentically Cuban yet culturally nuanced eastern part of the country, specifically to the province of Holguín, right in between the privileged Playa Esmeralda beach and the Bahía de Naranjo harbour lies a place where constantly taking mental pictures of the panorama is inevitable. The harmonious contrasts of water colours are definitely a treat. On this spot we’ll find the Sol Río de Luna y Mares family resort, here, Meliá has announced the complete restoration of 240 rooms, a decision in tune with offering nothing but the best to its customers.
