One of the best beaches in the world according to TripAdvisor will be your backdrop at the Meliá Las Américas hotel for this Golf Cup in the only hotel with direct access to the Varadero Golf Club in the area. From the 15th up to the 18th next May you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand in this golf event organized by Meliá.
Gentlemen in first category will compete under strokeplay while second category for Gentlemen and both categories for Ladies will compete under stableford, grouped according to Handicap.
Categories are as follows: first Category Gentlemen, 0 to 14 Hcp, second Category Gentlemen, 15 to 26 Hcp, Gentlemen Super Senior (70 years or older, 0-36 Handicap). first Category Ladies, 0 to 14 Hcp, second Category Ladies, 15 to 36 de Hcp and Ladies Super Senior (70 or older, 0-36 Handicap).
The winners and first runners-up of each category will be awarded with trophies and golf gear. Best female and male Gross scores will be awarded with trophies and golf gear respectively. There will also be prizes for individual skills such as the straightest, longest and closest to the flag pole drives.
Please bare in mind that you must be an amateur player or golfer over 18; you must present your Handicap which must be equal to or less than 26 for gentlemen and equal to or less than 36 for the ladies and it must be endorsed by your Club or Association.
The tournament will be played under the rules of Royal and Ancient St. Andrews Golf Club and local rules which will opportunely be provided to the participants.
To end up on a high note there will be raffles during the award night dinner where you stand a chance to win a two week free stay at the Meliá Las Américas hotel for two as well as golf gear.
