Celebrating Christmas is magic, regardless of your religion, your provenance, and our beliefs after all. It seems like no one can detach from this lovely, unique celebration. Far beyond each one of us, there is this undeniable desire to gathering people, loved ones and together, wish a better world, a peaceful environment, and the hope of wonderful times to come. This year I say : let’s dream with Meliá Cuba, the hotel brand capable of really turning Christmas into the jolliest time of the year!
Good food lovers, be aware
Special New Year’s Eve Dinner awaits you in Melia Resorts at the Cuban keys. This time the “A la Carte” proposals are all about seafood, which has of course Cuba written all over it. Meliá Cayo Coco offers a wide variety of choices from vegetables to Caribbean Lobster. And in Melia Jardines del Rey, on the other hand and following the delicious trend of seafood, shrimps will be considered real staples of the night.
¿Party Rock…or should I say party “salsa”?
In order to dance, to really thrill, you will need more than a few salsa lessons. This Christmas I invite you to move to the most authentic Cuban style. Among the highlights of the celebrations are live performing of remarkable Cuban Van Van orchestra at the very same Christmas Eve in Havana Café, a night club that always manages to revive the best of Havana. Also in Havana Café and on top of any other celebration is the Ney Yea’s Eve gala show “Tribute to Buenavista Social Club”. The Bid Farewell 2016 with the Cuban Conga is something to bear in mind, too.
And of course, for those up for a little more “waterful”-wonderful- celebration there is the Foam Party in Sol Palmeras. At the end, in Cuba it’s always about the waves and the sea. Don’t you dare missing the opportunity to play amid beautiful bubbles, of pure happiness.
Special occasions, special ones (little ones)
From dressing yourself like a pirate, doing some Yoga, aqua gym, to so much more, these activities you can enjoy with your family are by far one of the greatest gifts of Melia Cuba this Christmas for the kids. Must visit hotels are Sol Cayo Santa María, Melia Jardines del Rey, Sol Palmeras, our most recent opening, the Family Concierge at Paradisus Varadero and Meliá Habana. The latter, offering a specially designed menu for children. Magic shows, mini Club Pirate and Pijama Parties and as much as Scavenger Hunt. I feel like going already!
And there is of course… fun for the big kids
Big grown up kids, (18+ kids!) also need to have some fun. At Meliá Las Américas and Paradisus Princesa del Mar adults find some of that freedom and healthy drinks so accurate for this time of the year. Live music, wine tasting; beauty, pilates and dancing lessons are among the highlights. For a more romantic and cultural hangout, you can always walk through Dupont´s House or walk by Plaza Las America’s Mall. All these activities are part of the intinerary that Meliá Cuba has prepared for you to get the best of your Christmas. And yet more for you to discover.
It’s that time of the year again. I don’t want to wish you just a merry Christmas but a Meliá Christmas, at the Cuban way. It’ s going to be awesome!
