Meliá Cuba announces a new opening in Varadero

Meliá Hotels International has announced the opening of its twenty-eighth hotel in Cuba for the end of 2017 in the area of the iconic International Hotel of Varadero

The signing of the agreement with the company Gran Caribe was attended by special guests, the founder and president of the Spanish chain Gabriel Escarrer Juliá and the vice-president Gabriel Escarrer Jaume at the recent inauguration of the hotel Meliá Jardines del Rey, in the framework of the XXXVth International Tourism Festival FITCuba 2015, which will take place on May 5-7 at Jardines del Rey.

The hotel will be equipped with 934 guestrooms divided into two areas: one for families and another for Adults Only. The Adults Only portion will feature 421rooms, of which 90 will feature the exclusive The Level service. The family section, in turn, with 513 rooms will feature 133 dedicated to luxury for this important segment.

In the brand Meliá, it will be a Five-Star, All-Inclusive resort located at beachside of the magnificent beach of Varadero. Seven specialized restaurants, two buffets, one for families and another for Adults Only, ice cream shop, market grill, nine bars including a piano bar and a fun pub will be some of the hotel’s main attractions.

The offerings for tourists are rounded out by the traditional Casa del Habano, a Yhi Spa and a Convention Center measuring 1325 square meters with 10 meeting rooms.
