Classic and new options in the 2020 Meliá Cuba Events

Every year our company schedules Meliá Cuba Events and we’re pleased to announce those taking place in 2020. Theme weeks, sport options, adventure and lots of fun will ensure anyone participating in these programmes will take home wonderful memories.

We start with the 7th Meliá Las Américas Golf Cup, taking place from 20 to 23 May at the best hotel for golfers in Cuba. This same establishment, with excellent close links to the Varadero Golf Club, will host three other events for this precision sport: Meliá Las Américas Golf Weeks, from 17 to 24 June and 16 to 23 September, and the 12th Meliá Cuba Cup, from 21 to 24 October.  A whole world of options for golf players, who will compete, as usual, in different categories based on their specific skills and gender.

Friendship and fun, regardless of nationality or culture, will be the aim of the Singles Parties at the all-inclusive adults-only Meliá Las Antillas in Varadero. There are two opportunities to attend: from 30 May to 6 June or from 12 to 19 September. Competitions, dancing on the beach, participation games, themed dinners and excursions are just some of the activities that will ensure our Meliá Cuba singles have non-stop fun.

Also in Varadero, Sol Palmeras—our first hotel in Cuba known for its friendly hospitality and varied entertainment—will pay tribute to one of its most loyal markets. Tango and milonga dances and empanadas (flat pies) and mate will be the focus of the 6th Argentina Week, planned to take place from 15 to 20 June. And in October, the first ever Salsa Festival will be held at Sol Palmeras, a unique occasion to enjoy one of the music genres that best expresses Cuba’s heart and soul. Take note of the date: 12–17 October.

We’ll continue welcoming cultures from all over the world in September, with a Mexican Week taking place at two venues at the same time: Tryp Habana Libre in the capital and Meliá Varadero. Scheduled for 11–17 September, guests can combine city and beach stays while celebrating the most important anniversary of this Aztec country, its Independence Day.

A classic event is returning to Meliá Cuba, Oktoberfest, which in 2020 is transferring to the luxury Paradisus Princesa del Mar eco-resort in Varadero. Although beer will be the predominant feature of this event, it also includes other activities such as German-themed dances and competitions.

We’ve added new wellness programmes to this range of unique Meliá Cuba experiences, with plenty of yoga sessions and meditation activities.

We end this list of 2020 Meliá Cuba Events with the jewel in the crown: between May and August, special deals for the whole Cuban family will return in our outlets, at Tryp Habana Libre, as usual, and also at several other destinations throughout the country. At the hotels selected for their holiday, our national guests will enjoy personalised entertainment and a food and beverage service that will stand out for their Cubanness.

We invite you to add Meliá Cuba Events to your calendar in 2020 so you can enjoy our classic events and other innovative options. We’re looking forward to welcoming you!
