In May, the Cuban authorities announced the arrival of the eVisaCuba, a digital system for managing tourist visas that replaces the traditional “tourist card”.
A secure website with a very user-friendly interface now allows travellers to start the visa application process much more easily. Now there’s no longer any need to carry or present any documents or visit a consulate, saving applicants a lot of time and bother.
If you’re planning a holiday in Cuba and want to get an eVisa, just click here. Use the “Apply for visa” option to make your request, providing key data such as the country and consulate from which you’re making the request and personal information such as your name, date of birth, nationality, etc. To make it even more convenient, you can make up to 10 requests at the same time, ideal if you’re travelling with your family, partner or friends. The website also gives contact details for the consulate (email, address or phone number) in case you need help or more information.
Once you have requested the eVisa and paid for the service, you will get an email with a code made up of letters and numbers (for example, TRG78HY65A) within 3 working days. This code has to be entered into the “Electronic Visa Number” field in the D’Viajeros form, which is mandatory for all visitors to Cuba. At the end of the process, you will receive a PDF with your traveller declaration and with the visa stamped so you can show it whenever you need to.
Bear in mind that this type of visa is valid for one visit to Cuba for a stay of 90 days. It can also be extended for a further 90 days.
eVisaCuba makes the visa application process quicker and easier. Make the most of this new service and get your eVisa now and discover all the charms of this wonderful island!
