Six #MeliaCuba hotels compete for World Travel Awards

The World Travel Awards were created in 1993 to acknowledge and reward excellence in all key sectors of the travel, tourism and accommodation industry. Today, the brand is world renowned as the seal of excellence in the tourism industry. Its 24th anniversary is celebrated in 2017 and this time six of the nominated Melia Hotels International hotels are located in Cuba. Two resorts are nominated in this category :  Melia Cohiba and Melia Cayo Coco. The first one is an elegant and luxurious Five-Star hotel with a privileged location in the very center of Havana City with great views of the Havana waterfront. Exclusive and unique, with the majesty of the establishment and the appealing bohemian environment of the heart of Havana.

On the other hand, Melia Cayo Coco , suitable for couples and honeymoons due to its serene atmosphere, is located on the beach that gives its name to the resort, the Cayo Coco beach ,which is also home to a colony of pink flamingos. The experience in both resorts are beyond comparison. It’s not surprise that they are already winners of the honor of being nominated.

Cuba’s leading resort

Melia Las Dunas, Paradisus Princesa del Mar, Paradisus Varadero and Paradisus Rio de Oro are the hotels nominated in this category. By nominating these resorts its locations –Santa Maria Key, Varadero and Holguin- are also being nominated. The first one mentioned is full of touristic attractions and highly recommended for families or couples, since it has two separate environments and a lovely boulevard with piano bar! The second and third hotel, both in Varadero, are Ultra All-Inclusive Resorts and have a Royal Service which provides privacy and unique elegance. Their features make them suitable for weddings, families, honeymoons, incentives and wellness/spa. The last hotel in this list, Paradisus Rio de Oro , on the northern coast of Holguin is also designed for a fantastic experience with maximum comfort and exquisiteness, ornamented with the goodness of nature.
