- Golf
This summer 2017 golf season is eagerly awaited and will be based at Meliá Las Américas, the Melia Cuba hotel preferred by golfers due to its direct access to the Varadero Golf Club and the excellent facilities conceived for guests with these sports interests . For golf lovers we will have three different events taking place in May , September and October. All three of them have a similar program of 4 days, one day of practice , one day of par 3 tournament and 2 days of competition summoned by an award dinner . All you need to do is choosing your favorite.
Opening the season, the 4th Meliá Las Américas Golf Cup will be taking place , from 17th to 20th of May for both professional or amateur golfers over 18 years old with a Handicap of 26 or below for men, and of 36 or below for women. The players with the best net scores in each category will win a free stay for two people in a Cuban Meliá Hotels International hotel.
This will be followed by the new and first Varadero by Meliá Cuba Golf Cup , from 20th to 23rd September. This tournament will be held for the first time at the Varadero Golf Club for both professional or amateur golfers over 18 years of age. It will be played in stroke-play format, in teams of 4 players, over 18 holes. The winners and runners-up in each category will be awarded trophies and there will also be prizes for various skills.
The season will close with the traditional Meliá Cuba Golf Cup ,from 18th to 21st October on its ninth edition. This is a specialist annual event, and the tournament is played in stroke-play format for the first Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ categories, and in Stableford format for the second categories.
- Oktoberfest ,
For those young at soul and vivacious people, Melia Las Antillas organises the 5th Oktoberfest International Beer Festival from 25th to 30th September . The week-long attractive programme for the event includes tasting several brands of beer, participation games, special dinners, a food festival, dance classes and fun competitions that end with choosing the Beer King and Queen. A week full of Oktoberfest themed dishes in the à la carte restaurants and Beer-based cocktails in the Lobby bar will make this experience unforgettable to all .
- Singles party
Melia Las Antillas will also host a huge party just for singles, from the 3rd to 10th June. The event will be a great opportunity for you to make new friends in a happy, creative and good-humoured environment. From Saturday to Saturday; a whole week to share activities like Arts & Crafts workshop , games and dancing on the beach, sand parties , candlelit dinner, among others.
4. Argentina Week .
Last but not least , the flavor of Argentina at Meliá Cuba Cuba in Sol Palmeras Resort, our first hotel in Cuba and for long the favorite of many .From 19th to 24th June 2017 the hotel becomes the ideal place to enjoy the experience of Cuba with an Argentinean flavor. Tango and milonga will fill the air while mate drinks and football will combine with the joyful spirit of Cuba and its people to celebrate the wonderful relationship between the two countries. The special entertainment program for the week has activities for everybody , from sports tournaments and live performances by musicians and dancers to exhibitions and fashion shows, cookery classes, cocktail making, food tasting and so many others.
