Next September the first edition of the Varadero Golf Cup by Melia Cuba is to be celebrated at the well-known headquarter for the purpose: that Cuban corner where sun and sunsets are combined with splendid beaches to caress visitors.

This event, a new tournament of its type, will be held from 20th to 23rd September and carries many novelties. Whether you are a professional player or a simple adept this new tournament invites you to participate… and win!

The Varadero Golf Cup will be played by the Strokeplay (first men category) and Stableford (second men category and both ladies categories) modalities and the winner will be the one finishing the round with the less number of strikes.

The champion will have the best average after the sum of the two rounds of the competition. In both genders’ competitions, the longest drive, the straightest drive and the drive closest to the pin will be also awarded.

What’s new is that 4 player teams will be gathered in this edition of the tournament. First round is going to be played in pairs and the second one individually. This is of course one of the highlights of the event. All those participating will get to share the emotion working in teams.
